Refined Metal Smart Studs are precision-engineered cold-formed steel framing members designed for both smart and drywall applications. Manufactured under strict ICC-ES quality control programs, our studs comply with the 2024 and 2021 IBC/IRC requirements, ensuring reliability in residential, commercial, and industrial construction.

Our studs are available in multiple gauges, web depths, and flange sizes to meet project-specific load demands. With pre-punched knockout options for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical runs, Refined Metal studs deliver both strength and efficiency on the jobsite. Produced from galvanized steel coils, our products exceed ASTM A1003 and A653 requirements, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability.

Smart Studs

Smart Studs are designed for load-bearing applications including curtain walls, floor joists, headers, roof trusses, and shear walls. Manufactured from high-strength steel (minimum Grade 33 ksi for light gauges and Grade 50 ksi for heavy gauges), these studs meet AISI S240 standards for Cold-Formed Steel Smart Framing.

Perfect for schools, hospitals, mid-rise buildings, and heavy-duty framing assemblies requiring long-span and high-strength performance. Available in gauges 20S through 12 (33 to 97 mils) with minimum G60 coating, with G90 available for enhanced protection.
